Profile Information

What is your nationality?
USA - Pacific Northwest
Introduce yourself shortly to other members of DEC. [ What you would be doing here and till when would you be staying in Delhi ]
I thrive on challenge, on the vibrancy of India as a whole, and seek to make some kind of positive impact during my days. The idea of joining the American grind sounded awful, so I bought a one-way ticket to Delhi in the hopes of getting work, gathering stories, and grooving to an international beat.
What you expect to find on DEC and what can you offer to other members?
I'm new here! I need a job, friends, recommendations of places to do things and stuff - all of that which comes with relocating to a place unfamiliar.
What languages do you speak?
English and a tiny bit of Hindi which will hopefully improve with each passing day.

I know this place inside and out, and am delighted to be able to nod hello to at least four or five people I know every time I walk from autorickshaw to Flipside Cafe (which is often. I'm at Flipside now.) But. Here's…

In America, it takes at least five or six times of frequenting a cozy new restaurant before you can claim it as part of your scene. At Flipside Cafe in Hauz Khas Village, though, I knew within ten seconds of walking through the door that I'd be coming back again and again. And…

I've got an introverted energy, combined with an extroverted heart. People interest me - I like to know and understand others – but, it would really be better for me if I could do that from the comfort of my couch while wearing sweatpants. Facebook and I are pretty tight.

Since arriving in Delhi, though, I've been out and about almost every night. Mostly, it's been TLR on Wednesdays for open mic, TLR for lunch on Thursday, TLR for Sunday rooftop beats, oh, and what about heading to… Continue
