I'm a Dillinet member in spirit. I've been a member for a long time, yes, but I never properly used the site -- because it wasn't created until after I left Delhi.

But Jacek asked me to write to you anyway. That's because next week, I'm coming back to the NCR next week to celebrate the release of my new book,  Delirious Delhi. It's  being published on 2 Dec by HarperCollins India.

Anyone who has lived in Delhi understands the title immediately. Delhi is truly delirious in every sense of the word: it’s ecstatic, hallucinatory, mind-boggling, feverish, and vastly energizing—all at the same time.

To celebrate the release, HarperCollins India is throwing a big event on December 2, 6:30 PM at the American Center Auditorium. I hope every Dillinet member can attend.

Jacek is giving away two copies of Delirious Delhi -- one here, and one on the Dillinet Facebook page. For this one, all you have to do is be the first to answer a question that will test your Google skills.

And here it is. In the book, I discuss how everyone knows that Khan Market is supposedly the most expensive real estate in Delhi. As of Q2 2011, it was supposedly averaging a rent of ~$US320 per square foot per year.

Well, I don't believe it, either. But that's what they say. So here's your question: according to the same survey (which you'll have to use your Google skills to uncover), where is the SECOND-MOST expensive retail real estate in Delhi? And how much was the rent in Q2 2011 in USD per square foot per year?

The first correct answer posted in the comments below will receive a free signed copy of Delirious Delhi at the book release event on 2 December!

(And if you can't answer this one, go to the Facebook page -- Jacek will post the other contest shortly.)

Thanks! I hope to see you all on 2 Dec!
